ONGOING PROJECT: Renovation of Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology

Another one of Gark konzalting's current projects is the complete renovation of the building pavillion IV and anex of Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology of the Universtiy of Zagreb. This project is unique in that, apart from the fact that it includes seismic reconstruction, the building is also located within the zone of protection and preservation of immobile cultural assets. With this in mind, it is necessary to approach the execution of works with special caution.

Gark Konzalting is involved in this project in the role of project manager, while structural supervision is assigned to Exstructa d.o.o. The contractor on the project is a joint venture that includes the companies ING-GRAD d.o.o. and HIDRO EKO FUTURA d.o.o. Work deadline equals to 14 months.

The project includes sanation and strengthening of the foundation soil, demolitions necessary for renovation and strengthening of the existing structure, removal and replacement of damaged walls, mezzanine structures and roof, replacement of all installation systems - electrical installations, heating and cooling systems, water and drainage installations, installation of elevators to ensure accessibility for people with reduced mobility, and a complete energy renovation, which will also include the installation of heat pumps.

We are approaching this project, like all others, with tireless commitment and dedication, and we are proud to be participating in the reconstruction of Zagreb from the devastating consequences of the 2020 earthquake.
