ONGOING PROJECT: MH Opatija – Pedestrian bridge, continuing installation

This morning, October 2, 2026, a pedestrian overpass was installed across state road D-66 as part of the Marriott Hotel construction project in Ičići, a project for which GARK Konzalting is providing expert supervision and technical consulting services. The installed pedestrian bridge carries the hotel's pedestrian access route—leading from the coastal promenade—over state road DC-66 and the hotel's vehicular access road. It consists of two load-bearing prefabricated concrete elements spanning 18.49 m and 19.36 m, respectively. Traffic was halted during the installation process and diverted according to a special traffic management plan. The installation of the structural elements took two and a half hours and proceeded according to plan, thanks to the effective cooperation between the contractor, the supervisor, and the structural designer.
