ONGOING PROJECT: MH Opatija - Reconstruction of Villa Rosa

The 5th phase of works is underway at the Marriott International construction site in Ičići - the reconstruction of Villa Rosa, a building of exceptional historical value and a cultural heritage monument. According to available sources, the villa was built between 1836 and 1840, making it potentially the oldest building of this type in the Kvarner region - older even than the famous Villa Angiolina in Opatija.

The current phase includes extensive structural reconstruction and strengthening works of the building, fully in line with the requirements of the local conservation department. Special emphasis is placed on preserving the authentic elements of the building and precisely documenting each existing condition.

Due to the complexity and historical significane of the object, the works are being carried out with continuous professional supervision of the structure. In collaboration with design supervision and structural engineers, the GARK Konzalting team ensures the implementation of all technical and conservation standards on this project.
