Works have commenced on a new project in which Gark Konzalting provides construction project management services for the renovation of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER).

The complete renovation of the buildings of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing at the Unska 3 location is part of the project "Renovation of infrastructure and equipment in the field of education damaged by the Zagreb earthquake" which is co-financed by grants from the European Union Solidarity Fund, and the set of buildings of the Faculty, where the works in question are carried out, it is a protected cultural asset.

Expert supervision over the renovation of the FER was assigned to the company Zem nadzor d.o.o., while the execution of the works was entrusted to the contractor Tromont d.o.o., which was put into work on July 18th, 2024. The planned completion of the works is January 2026.

After the Zagreb earthquake, all the buildings of the FER complex (A, B, C, D) were inspected and marked with a yellow sticker - temporarily unusable, based on which emergency measures were carried out to enable classes to continue. The upcoming construction and craftsmanship works will achieve measures to ensure the mechanical resistance and stability of the load-bearing structure and safety in case of fire, and complete renovation of the building will be undertaken, which will ensure the fulfillment of the remaining Basic Requirements for the building.

With the completion of the project, the renovated FER buildings will ensure a high level of safety and functionality, which will improve the conditions for classes and further development of scientific research. We are proud that Gark Konzalting is part of the project of the post-earthquake reconstruction of the educational infrastructure of the city of Zagreb, and in the role of project manager, we will make sure that, with our involvement and experience, this project is completed within the budget and within the planned schedule.
